Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in AV
Honors impactful DEI initiatives within the AV industry that promote diverse talent pipelines, inclusive workplace cultures, and equitable opportunities. Eligible entries include mentorship programs, inclusive hiring frameworks, and advocacy campaigns that deliver measurable, scalable outcomes.
Manufacturer of the Year
Celebrates a hardware or software manufacturer delivering best-in-class AV products and solutions for the Americas market. Judges will assess product innovation, quality control, firmware and training support, supply chain reliability, and customer service excellence.
Sustainable AV Initiative of the Year
This category recognizes an outstanding initiative that demonstrates a clear commitment to sustainability within the Americas AV industry. Whether through product design, operations, supply chain, installation practices, or end-of-life strategies, entries should show measurable efforts to reduce environmental impact and promote long-term ecological responsibility.
PEOPLE
AV Professional of the Year
Individuals working in the AV/IT, events or production industry, whether for an end-user organisation, a vendor or working on a freelance basis. Nominations should recognise an individual who has made a significant contribution and/or shown impressive leadership in the management of an in-house contract or vendor service-driven team.
Rising Star Award
Recognizes an emerging AV professional with five years or less in the industry who demonstrates exceptional talent and potential. Entries may highlight achievements in project delivery, technical innovation, creative problem-solving, or leadership.
PROJECTS
Broadcast, Streaming, or Esports Project of the Year
Recognizes AV innovation in live streaming, content creation, or competitive gaming. Entries could feature broadcast studios, esports arenas, virtual production sets, or cloud-enabled streaming workflows.
Healthcare AV Project of the Year
Healthcare AV Project of the Year Honors AV innovations in healthcare settings that enhance patient outcomes, streamline clinical workflows, and enable advanced medical training. Eligible projects span telehealth platforms, integrated operating rooms, medical simulation labs, and hospital-wide communication systems across the Americas. Judges look for seamless workflow integration, system reliability, and clear impact on patients, clinicians, and staff.
Learning Environment Project of the Year
Recognizing transformative AV for K-12, higher education, and corporate training spaces.
Live Event or Experiential Production of the Year
Awards technical and creative excellence in concerts, immersive pop-ups, brand activations, trade shows, or projection mapping events. Highlights AV's role in storytelling, audience engagement, and technical execution.
Mission-Critical AV Project of the Year
Mission-Critical AV Project of the Year Recognizes high-performance AV systems supporting 24/7 operations such as emergency response centers, transportation hubs, and utilities control rooms. Entries should demonstrate seamless integration, redundancy, intuitive operator interfaces, and high reliability under pressure. Judges assess system performance, failover capabilities, and end-user satisfaction.
Retail & Hospitality AV Project of the Year
Retail & Hospitality AV Project of the Year Honors AV solutions that enhance customer engagement and brand experience in retail stores, hotels, restaurants, and resorts. Entries may include digital wayfinding, immersive showrooms, large-scale lobby displays, or multisensory brand activations that drive ROI. Judges value creativity, brand alignment, quality of experience, and measurable business results.
Themed Entertainment and Attractions Project of the Year
Celebrates AV-driven experiences in museums, amusement parks, immersive attractions, or exhibitions. Examples include AV in dark rides, multimedia walkthroughs, interactive museum exhibits, or storytelling installations.
Workplace Project of the Year
Workplace Project of the Year Celebrates workplace AV installations that enable seamless communication, boost productivity, and enhance comfort in office or hybrid environments. Examples include smart meeting spaces, unified communications (UC&C) platforms, enterprise-wide digital signage, and workplace analytics tools. Judges consider innovation, user experience, adaptability, and collaboration impact.
TECHNOLOGY
Audio Technology of the Year
Celebrates professional audio products that deliver outstanding sound quality in fixed AV installations. Eligible entries include loudspeakers, DSPs, microphones, and networked audio solutions that excel in clarity, integration, and reliability.
Best Use of Emerging Technology
Recognizes bold and innovative use of technologies like AI, AR/VR, spatial audio, holography, or real-time generative content in AV applications. Examples include immersive training, AI-powered signage, or XR stages.
Collaboration Technology of the Year
Recognizes innovative AV tools that power seamless hybrid work, learning, and creative collaboration. Eligible entries include UC platforms, interactive video bars, wireless presentation systems, and collaboration-focused room solutions with high user adoption rates.
Control, Automation, or Signal Management Solution of the Year
Celebrates platforms that simplify AV control, automation, and signal distribution. Entries may include programmable control systems, AV-over-IP routers, automated scheduling platforms, and cross-compatible room control frameworks.
Display or Projection Technology of the Year
Honors groundbreaking LED, LCD, and projection technologies delivering exceptional visual quality in professional AV applications. Examples include fine-pitch LED walls, transparent displays, ultra-short throw projectors, and direct-view LED solutions for high-impact installations.
Software Innovation of the Year
Recognizes exceptional AV software solutions that enhance system monitoring, interactive engagement, content management, or analytics. Entries may include AV asset dashboards, immersive content platforms, digital signage CMS tools, and smart building integrations.
