APPLY TO BECOME A JUDGE

We’re assembling an expert panel of industry leaders to help shape the AV Awards Americas. If you’re deeply engaged in all things AV across the Americas, apply today! What we’re looking for:

Diverse Representation

  • We aim to build a panel that reflects the diversity of our industry across backgrounds, perspectives, geographies, and areas of expertise. This isn’t a tick-box exercise, we value authenticity, inclusion, and broad representation.

Relevant Experience

  • We're keen to hear from professionals with solid technical or strategic AV experience, whether in engineering, consulting, integration, design, or end-user environments.

Independence & Impartiality

  • To maintain fairness, judges must not have commercial ties to entries they are evaluating. We do not allow vendors or those directly affiliated with submitting organizations in judging roles.

Category Matching

  • We recognize that no judge can be an expert in every area of AV. That’s why we carefully match judges with categories that align with their knowledge, experience, and interests.

Integrity & Objectivity

  • Above all, we’re looking for individuals with a strong sense of professional integrity, clear judgment, and the ability to evaluate work fairly and without bias.

Criteria:

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in pro AV
  • Have in-depth knowledge of project delivery, technology solutions, or end-user impact
  • Be committed to impartiality, professionalism, and constructive evaluation
  • Work as End-Users or Consultants, based in North America, Latin America or Canada

Judges will:

  • Review and score entries based on a structured criteria framework
  • Help recognize game-changing projects and technologies
  • Be featured on our website and receive acknowledgment across all platforms
  • Benefit from extensive PR and marketing of your involvement in the process Judging is conducted remotely through a secure digital portal. We offer a clear rubric and scoring process aligned with best practices in the AV industry
  • Be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure sensitive data and entry information is not discussed/shared outside of the judging panel
  • Be required to declare any conflicts of interest that you may have in any category or with any entry (judges with conflicts of interest will be excused from access and judging of that category entirely)
