Rudy Rodriguez is a New York based Technical Director and educator working at the crossroads of performing arts, emerging technology, and large-scale digital production. At Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, he oversees major digital production and audiovisual initiatives, ranging from digital-signage modernization and media-suite engineering to immersive audio upgrades such as Dolby Atmos. Rudy’s background spans two decades in theatrical audio, live event production, AV/IT systems design, and technology operations for nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies. He also serves on the faculty at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, teaching Practices in Design and Innovation and AI/ML for Leaders, and supporting curriculum in emerging technology, storytelling, and experience design. His work blends rigorous technical strategy with a creative, theater-born mindset; a philosophy he calls “approaching technology as art.”
